Ever since The Lox dropped off their album at the end of 2016 the trio of Styles P, Jadakiss and Sheek Louch have been busy with interviews and more. Their most recent media stop is with DJ Whoo Kid over at Shade 45.

While with Whoo Kid, The Lox spoke on a slew of topics from old beef and how beef is manipulated now, Young M.A. dropping some bars over “Money, Power, Respect” and the eventual explosion of Jada who shared some choice thoughts on Lyor Cohen.

“Lyor Cohen is the reason for hip-hop turning out the way it has, with him [Lyor] controlling all these younger artists and their 720 deals,” Jadakiss shared. “You don’t need to learn your history anymore, all you need is green dreads/a Rolex and you’re good.”

Also speaking on deals, The Lox feels labels will make their deals more about releasing singles and issue a warning to all the new artists.

“Those Instagram pics with money being held to your ear like a phone, be careful because you only own $20 of that, it’s like a collect call.  Also, be careful they don’t 360 your single deal and 360 your allowance you receive from your parents.”
