2016 was a great year for you with the release of your Port Au Prince mixtape and the rise of your hit singles “Blow A Check” and “Couches”. How will 2017 be different for you?

Zoey Dollaz: 2016 was super great for me and 2017 will be much better and different! I’m planning on elevating even more and do bigger things.

Being one of the few artists signed to Future has a lot of advantages, especially with him being on a constant winning streak. What’s it like being on the Freebandz team?

Zoey Dollaz: It’s been a blessing! Not only has it been a great thing but I’m also keeping a good representation for the team. I’m following the footsteps of a winner. If I’m on the winning team, I have to win.

You said in your Hot 97 interview that you like R&B more than hip-hop at times. Will we see more of that this year?

Zoey Dollaz: Oh, definitely, definitely! You’ll be seeing a lot of new R&B this year, especially with the records that I’ve written for other R&B artists.

We’ve seen you drop some mean freestyles on social media the last few weeks. Can we expect a new project soon?

Zoey Dollaz: Yep! In a week, I’ll be dropping a new project with all those freestyles titled Free Smoke. After Free Smoke, I’m going to drop an EP titled Black Elvis on February 16th, and I also have a song with Chris Brown coming out soon. We putting in work.
