Left and right African-American artists shared that they would not perform at President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. 2 Chainz shared on Instagram that he denied the offer, while Jennifer Holiday did agree to sing and later pulled out, although she cited support for the LGBT as her reasoning. However, there is one R&B singer who will perform and that’s Chrisette Michele.

The New York Daily News reports, Michele agreed and signed on to perform a week ago but witnessed the negative to response to Holliday prior to her withdrawal and decide to not share the news immediately.

Chrisette Michele was set to perform alongside Travis Greene, Jonathan McReynolds, and Tye Tribute but ultimately agreed to do a  solo set after two of those three artists rejected the offer.

As far as that outrage for performing, it really wasn’t dodged. Take a trip to Twitter and search her name.
