Yesterday (November 12), history was made at NBC and on Saturday Night Live!. In addition to an epic hosting job by legendary comedian Dave Chappelle, the equally legendary rap group A Tribe Called Quest performed on the SNL stage for the first time ever.

After dropping their new album We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service this Friday (11/11), the Tribe took over SNL and performed their classic track “We The People,” followed by “The Space Program” where they were joined by Busta Rhymes and Consequence.

Dave kicked off the show with pure comedy and conviction. He took a moment, however, to get serious and candid about our new President-Elect, Donald Trump. Acknowledging how disadvantaged black people were prior to the Obama presidency, Dave offers Trump some pieces of advice on how to handle members of our nation, who are truly terrified at the moment.

Let’s just say Dave didn’t hold back one bit.

Enjoy the Tribe’s performance below, as well as some clips from Dave’s monologue and comedic sketches.
