Last evening (11/5), Solange Knowles was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live! and thank the lord she was.

With her brand new album A Seat At The Table making its well deserved rounds, the passionate songbird torched the SNL stage with a performance of “Cranes In The Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair” — two standout tracks from the aforementioned album. Sampha joined Solange for the latter of the two.

Earlier this week, it was announced that legendary comedian Dave Chappelle would make his SNL debut on November 12th as the host, while the classic hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest will serve as the musical guest. The Tribe’s planning to release their final album We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service the day before the SNL appearance.
