During the latest episode of Genius’ VERIFIED series, the popular lyric annotation site got Desiigner to break down his new track “Zombie Walk,” while in full zombie make-up. Fitting to say the least. The energetic hitmaker went on to explain that he wrote the song about rapper/friend King Savage, who is handicapped and happens to be featured on the track.

“He’s crippled, he’s handicapped,” Desiigner says. “People used to make fun of his walk but I said, ‘Nah, that’s a zombie walk. We gotta change it for you.’ It’s all just a shout out to my man Savage.”

We’re here for the positive spirit Desiigner continues to pour out through the industry. Let’s hope he’s here to stay.
