UPDATE: According to “sources with knowledge,” and a report by the NY Times, it appears Frank Ocean’s highly anticipated album Boys Don’t Cry is dropping this Friday exclusively with Apple Music. In addition to that, there’s now more movement on his livestream, as of August 2nd, and we expect more changes to take place leading up to Friday’s potential release. For anyone who’s been following the Frank saga for the last couple of years, proceed with caution-I’m not believing these reports until that album hits iTunes.

Stay updated on the livestream over at Frank’s website for constant updates.

Original Story:

Frank Ocean certainly knows how to get people’s attention.

After disappointing fans (once again) for not releasing his album in the month of July, like he originally “promised,” Frank made up for it…sort of. In the middle of the night, just as the clock struck August 1st, the crooner decided to turn the Internet upside down by releasing a rather mysterious live stream at his website boysdontcry.co, hosted by Apple Music nonetheless.

According to @TeamFrankDaily, the live stream is a continuous looped video of an art project created by artist Francis Soriano. Fans and the Twittersphere have been monitoring the live stream ever since it’s been put up in hopes that it’ll lead to the highly anticipated album.

At certain parts of the video, you can hear some music being played, though no lyrics or full songs from Frank…just melodies and instruments. We have no idea what to expect as far as the new album dropping, but we assume we’re that much closer. Especially with that Apple Music cosign.

Tune into the live stream here and tell us what you think.
