This year’s Essence Fest was certainly a memorable one!

Our very own Karen Civil partnered with Ford in multiple ways, specifically with their Fusion Road to Experience. Co-hosting Ford’s Super Lounge, speaking with attendees and more, the stellar car company provided Karen with a new Ford Fusion prior to the event, so Karen could attest to its high-power performance during ESSENCE. Civil says it was a comfortable ride and certainly recommended others consider purchasing one.

Some things we learned from the experience and about Ford were the fact that Fusion is the first Ford car in North America with a pedestrian detection system, as well as the first Ford vehicle in North America to offer adaptive cruise control.

Being one of the most technologically advanced midsized car Ford’s ever built, we expect the 2017 Fusion to really impact the market this upcoming year. Karen also said this was one of her most enjoyable cars to drive to date.

Ford wanted to make sure each attendee at Essence Fest had a chance to win their very own Ford vehicle by partnering with ESSENCE to give participants the chance to enter a fun sweepstakes.

Prior to the event, Karen participated in a Twitter chat with fellow blogger BlogXilla, where they discussed all the great things Ford was doing at Essence, such as their Go Pink! initiative, the aforementioned sweepstakes, and the various panels/expos they put together.
