Joey Bada$$ has never been one to shy away from his true feelings, and we definitely see that in his latest track “Devastated.”

The Brooklyn native stopped by Hot 97 with Funk Flex to spit some heat, as he went in over a bouncy beat, rapping about those who never believed in him while growing up. He states, “Remember my school teachers never had faith neither / Now I’m at the Ivy Leagues as a big time speaker.”

Recently, the 21-year-old took to Facebook to share a very personal story from his childhood. In the post, Joey opens up about how his parent’s split affected him as a young kid.
