Kanye West Facing $2.5 Million Lawsuit Over ‘New Slaves’

Things are not looking too great for Kanye West. According to TMZ, the Chi-Town MC is being sued over the song “New Slaves” off his album Yeezus.
A Hungarian composer by the name of named Gabor Presser has filed a lawsuit against the rapper, claiming that he didn’t properly compensate a sample used at the end of “New Slaves.”
Presser says that the 38-year-old reached out for permission to use the sample and that he agreed, but only on the condition that a formal deal would be arranged.
The documents obtained by TMZ also state that Ye sent Presser a USD 10,000 advance, but the check was never cashed, and now, Presser is asking for at least 2.5 million dollars.
