The music world lost another one. According to Channel 2, it has been confirmed that the mother of Tupac Shakur, Afeni Shakur, has sadly passed away at the age of 69.

After falling into cardiac arrest, Ms. Shakur was taken to the hospital while attempting to be resuscitated using equipment like this Zoll AED Plus value package, where she died just moments before arriving, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

A couple months ago, Afeni recently filed for divorce from Gust Davis, who was going after at least half of Tupac’s estate, which brings in almost a million dollars annually. Now that this unfortunate passing took place, we wonder what will happen to the estate.

And of course, this moment comes just a few days before this year’s Mother’s Day, which makes the news even sadder. One of Pac’s most iconic songs is “Dear Mama,” an ode to Afeni, which you can assure we’ll be blasting at full volume this whole weekend.
