Beyonce Earns 6th Number 1 Album With ‘Lemonade’
by Staff Editor
It’s official! Beyonce’s Lemonade earns the expected number 1 spot on this week’s top selling albums chart, moving 500,865 copies (663,983 with streams). This is the 6th number 1 Bey’s received, and she also becomes the first artist ever to get a number 1 album with each of her first six releases. Amazing!
The 2-5 spots belonged to the late Prince, who’s record sales have skyrocketed after his sad and untimely death. A$AP Ferg, who also released an album this week with his sophomore effort Always Strive And Prosper, sold roughly 23,000 copies, and 36,000 with streams.
There’s no surprise here that Beyonce took the number 1 spot with ease. After all, the music world completely stopped as soon as Lemonade surfaced.
Congrats Bey! Purchase Lemonade here.
