Essence Festival will be taking over New Orleans for the 22nd consecutive year and this year boasts headliners Kendrick Lamar, who is returning for the second straight year, along with Maxwell and Mariah Carey.

The 2016 Essence Festival will bring those three mega stars and BJ The Chicago Kid, Ciara, Doug E. Fresh, Eric Bellinger, Jidenna, Babyface, Lalah Hathaway, Jeremih, Tyrese, Tink, The Internet, Charlie Wilson, Dej Loaf and more.

The Essence Festival will also be the host of their first World Music Superlounge, which will bring in artists from across the group like Whizkid, Zakes Bantwini and Skye Wanda.
