Kendrick Lamar Tributes Kobe Bryant In ESPN Special ‘Fade To Black’
by Staff Editor
Tomorrow night (April 13), Kobe Bryant, superstar shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, will play his final NBA game ever. This season’s been one long tribute to the Black Mamba, and before tomorrow comes, Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar joined ESPN for a touching tribute deemed “Fade To Black.”
The video shows K. Dot narrating a descriptive piece about Kobe’s career, written by Scoop Jackson. From his 81-point game, to his alley oops with Shaq, Kendrick and Scoop touched on every amazing play and moment Kobe gave us. To add some hip-hop flavor to the mix, Kendrick’s “untitled 07 (Levitate)” served as the background music. West coast ish.
Watch the new tribute below and be sure to catch Kobe’s final NBA game tomorrow night at 10:30 EST on ESPN 2.
