The MTV Woodie Awards have become residents in Austin, Texas, returning in 2016 during the music portion of the SXSW festival. The MTV Woodies was hosted by A$AP Rocky with performances from Anderson .Paak and Kehlani and more during the one-hour live broadcast.

Earlier in the afternoon additional performances from A$AP Ferg, Jidenna and more were apart of the MTV Woodies/10 for 16 festival, which was also live-streamed online at Woodies.MTV.com.

Rooted in the essence of SXSW, the MTV Woodies/10 for 16 was presented in a new format, which strayed away from awards and focused on the emerging artists through their music.
