French Montana has been going hard in the studio with new music, and has been hitting the road with Chris Brown, but he always makes sure to give time to the outlets that support him.

Stopping by Ebro In The Morning on Hot 97, the “Off The Rip” rapper sat down for an intimate interview where he addressed a slew of topics, including his fallen brother Chinx, who was murdered back in May via a drive-by shooting.

Shortly after Chinx’s death, French received a fair amount of backlash from fans and followers for staying a bit more silent on the matter, while still working:

“With me and Chinx, I feel like a lot of people don’t know when he first came home, and me and him first got together, I put him on tour with me as soon as he came home. I never made one dollar off Chinx Drugz as a artist, or whatever it is. All I did with Chinx was me just helping him out, because I just want to see my brother become as big as he can. I just feel like at his peak this happened to him. That’s what I’m most hurt about. I want him to see how much people love him.”

French even dived into his newly ignited beef with 50 Cent, who has been continuously making memes mocking the Bronx rapper’s ties to Diddy’s Ciroc brand.

You can catch French on Chris Brown’s One Hell of a Nite Tour, which is currently on the road. Check out his interview Hot 97 above.
