It’s been 4 years that Peter Rosenberg has been fulfilling his birthday wish by giving New York City a concert of some of his favorite hip-hop acts, and it’s only gaining more momentum.

Peterpalooza has been continuing to give fans a taste of artists that bring back some flavor of the culture’s origins, and this year was no different. Last week, Peterpalooza IV took place at the Best Buy Theater, and the sold out crowd was treated to the sounds of Remy Banks, Bodegz Bamz, Vic Mensa, a surprise from Gunplay, and a headlining A$AP Rocky. Not only did Rocky perform some of his new joints off of his critically acclaimed A.L.L.A. sophomore project, but he event reunited the A$AP Mob, who haven’t performed together in quite awhile.

Peter Rosenberg has been hard at work to make sure that not only is his birthday the best day of the year for him, but also one of the best that New York hip-hop gets to be part of. Despite it’s snowballing success, the radio host has higher hopes down the line for the annual concert. “Hopefully we’ll be filling 10,000 seats rather than 2,500 seats. I hope that I get to announce the date, and it will sell without me revealing an artist,” he says of his plans down the line in our latest Civil Interview.

From his future Peterpalooza goals, to his thoughts on rap “beefs” of today, check out some more from Rosenberg in the following pages. –Lindsey India
