Taking a breather, Jeezy tributes to DJ Nando in a video, who was fatally shot in January 2014. The love is strong for the fallen DJ, as many put up peace signs for him while watching the brief clip on the screen. Jeezy reappears, and again, he’s not alone. “I know I said this was a TM 101 show, but I lied,” he jokes. Questioning the crowd’s knowledge of his original days, the DJ puts on one of the MC’s classics, “Trap Or Die,” bringing out another ATL veteran, DJ Drama. Although the air is filled with outpouring love for the A, Jeezy has way more up his sleeve, as Bun-B makes a surprise guest appearance for his verse on the former mixtape-title track. “I don’t co-sign no suckas,” approves Bun of Jeezy and his legacy.

As Bun departs the stage, Jeezy gets folks right back into the TM 101 mode, by playing another anthem, “Get Ya Mind Right.” It’s then, that he reminds the crowd that he will have moments steering away from the project, and this next one brought a reunion not many saw coming of Boyz N Da Hood, Jeezy’s original rap group. Bringing all members out to have the quad back together again, the crowd went crazy to the street anthem, “Dem Boyz.”

As the audience eats up all of the hip-hop nostalgia, Jeezy gets right back into the 10-year-old album as promised, giving fans a taste of “Air Forces,” “Don’t Get Caught,” and his first smash single, “Trap Star.” Knowing the other tracks that have features, audience members anticipated the appearances ahead. While Mannie Fresh re-emerged for his and Jeezy’s classic stomping hymn, “And Then What,” and Lloyd’s soothing vocals came live by him for “Tear It Up,” some couldn’t help but wonder if Jay Z would make it out for “Go Crazy (Remix).” To some minor disappointment, Hov was nowhere to be found, but Jeezy would soon make up for it – big time. Ending part of his set with “Soul Survivor,” the track’s guest hook by Akon was done without him in the building as well, but still set the Theatre ablaze with an enthusiastic spark.

Jeezy soon walks off stage, and asks the DJ to keep the crowd company. Without playing any music, the audience gets antsy, wondering what’s happening, as some lights get turned on. Is the show over? While looking at the time, around 10:30 PM, many folks are left confused. Just as fans began to sit down in the seats one by one, a pulsating familiar beat hits the speakers, and the whole venue is soon driving with effervescence as Jeezy runs back out to “Who Dat,” one of his most animated street anthems off of The Recession. He then transitions straight into some of his more recent hit songs, including “Supa Freak,” “Lose My Mind,” and “RIP.” It’s evident that the theme of the evening is reflection, and no one in the audience will be able to deny Jeezy’s impact from the last 10 years. “We’re working on the next 10 [years],” exclaims Jeezy.

  1. Jeezy simply shut down all of ATL with his 10 year anniversary
concert and after reading this article it honestly felt like I was there vividly experiencing the whole thing. There is no question that Jeezy delivered an energetic set to his die hard audience members and after watching a few clips of the concert it was quite evident that there was no shortage of energy from the crowd during the show. One thing for a fact though is that energy in the room unquestionably turned up a plethora of notches when Yeezy came out and performed a heaven sent performance with Jeezy! Jeezy’s fans at this concert most definitely can say they’ve “Seen it All”.
