Jeezy is a proud product of the trap and was recognized for it at his special Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation dinner last night.

Before his city clean up in District 4 of Atlanta, which turned out to be a huge success, the glamour was all out in the South to celebrate Jeezy’s 10 year old debut album. This album, in particular, was the gateway for trap music and it was time to thank it’s door opener. And what other way to show appreciation for such a movement than honoring him with the Phoenix Award by Mayor Kasim Reed?

Singer Monica and fellow Southern spitter, Ludacris were also in attendance, while Ne-Yo and Usher got the chance to say a few words too. Since the special dinner was a private event, the Grammy nominated rapper is making sure the rest of Atlanta will get to spend the evening with him for one night only at his commemorative concert taking place later tonight.

Until tonight, where Jeezy will surely give us an unforgettable show, take a look at some pictures of the commemorative dinner and his city clean up on the next page. Also expect a brand new interview with Jeezy on Karen Civil’s new podcast “Keeping it Civil with Karen” very soon.
