Well hip-hop, we might have witnessed one of the most interesting, exciting and thought-provoking nights in recent memory this past evening (July 22).

It started off with Nicki Minaj airing out MTV for snubbing her “Anaconda” video from the upcoming VMAs, specifically the “Video Of The Year” and “Best Choreography” categories. Soon after, Taylor Swift decided to chime in telling Nicki, “It’s unlike you to pit women against each other,” even though Nicki never singled her out, which was confusing to most.

Then the night took a strange turn when Meek sparked a mini Twitter rant of his own, only his was aimed at Drake (among other things). One of the stemming issues that Meek has with Drizzy is the fact that Aubrey never tweeted out or showed real support for Meek’s recent album Dreams Worth More Than Money, despite having a guest verse on there. In short, the Dreamchasers general called out Drizzy for having a ghostwriter and made it clear to never compare Meek to anyone else in the industry.

Exhausting, we know.
