Vince Staples is quickly making his way to the top of everyone’s favorite rising artists list, and 2015 has been an incredible year for him.

After landing himself on the XXL Freshmen list last month, the Long Beach MC is the latest rapper to star in Sprite’s “Obey Your Thirst” documentary commercial series, where he explains some of his music ambition.

Taking us through his hometown, neighborhood, and home, the trailer has Vince explaining the importance of having a voice and always being honest, which has driven him to go hard on the mic.

“It’s important to have a voice, speaking where I come from because I never had one. Without that voice, all of this is for nothing,” explains Staples.
