Nas is next up to have his documentary episode released for The FADER x Sprite’s Obey Your Thirst series. The special was created to allow fans to get personal with their favorite artists. Nas is this week’s special focus.

“There was nothing more important to me than having a voice. I wanted to make a big impact on this art form. I wanted to open up a doorway for another generation.”

After the trailer was previewed this weekend, we’re getting the full look inside the mind of the “Made You Look” MC, who says determination was something he was born with.

While growing up in the tough streets of Queensbridge, NY, Nas explained how he went up against adversities to be where he is today.

He advises any aspiring artist to not worry about what other people are doing.

“If you’re given an opportunity and you’re lucky enough to be given the freedom to do what you want to do in your career, why trap yourself? Why do something that’s not you?”
