Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel left Manhattan Detention Center today, but only to receive their trial date in Manhattan Supreme Court. The GS9 duo received their trial date and will appear back in front of the judge on October 5, 2015.

While Shmurda and Rebel appeared in court today they obtained an idea of what type of time they were facing as prosecutors recommended eight and seven years of time, respectively. The trial won’t be a quick process, XXL reports Judge James Burke, who will preside over the case, expects the case to stretch out as far as Dr. King Day of 2016.

Kenneth Montgomery, attorney for Bobby Shmurda, states that he was surprised by the recommended sentence claiming the members of GS9 were being watched as tough as they were.

“I thought it was reasonable,” said Rowdy Rebel’s attorney Javier Solano to XXL. “Usually they’re heavy-handed.

In case you missed it or just forgot what landed Bobby and Rowdy behind bars, they and 14 other members of GS9 were arrested for murder, conspiracy, drugs, weapons and more. We’ll see how this works out for the GS9 boys, be sure to check back for updates.
