If you don’t think Robert Ri’chard has broken his Cousin Skeeter mold yet, you will change your mind when you see him in Chocolate City.

The new movie is starring an all-black cast with a very realistic plot. Robert Ri’chard is a financially struggling college student who somehow meets the owner of a male strip club that has a welcoming stage for amateurs. Well, one thing leads to another and it becomes more than a one-time thing. If you’ve seen any of the Male Strippers in Charlotte, or perhaps even a Magic Mike show before, you’ll have an inkling of what to expect but nothing can prepare you for the beefcakes you’ll see when you watch Chocolate City!

Magic Mike, which is set to be released July 1st, has a lot in common with the new film. Aside from the sexy performances and dynamic casts, they also have similar themes. Some have even gone as far as to say Chocolate City is just another Magic Mike.

Robert isn’t too concerned about the constant comparisons. In an interview with Bossip, the actor confidently said seeing Magic Mike and not Chocolate City, “Is like saying you don’t like dessert. Who doesn’t like dessert? It’s like saying I like fruit, but I don’t like fondue. I don’t like my fruit dipped in chocolate. Dipped in chocolate is always better.”

Clearly, Robert is nonchalant about all the hype and is confident that ladies with a sweet tooth will happily see the film. -Breanna Davis
