The sweet, smooth sounds of Slum Village are back.

Today, the hip hop group released the stream to their album titled YES!, while the digital copies will be available for purchase on June 16, via Barak Records.

YES! features nine songs produced by legendary beatmaker and former Slum Village member, J Dilla (RIP). The LP finds Slum Village (rapper T3 and rapper-producer Young RJ) blending savvy rhymes with spacious production – like Dilla’s trademark barely-offbeat snares of “Right Back,” the spiraling piano loops of “Tear It Down,” the bass-heavy groove of “Expressive” and the light jazz textures of “Where We Come From.” The album features guest appearances from De La Soul, Jon Connor, Phife, Black Milk, BJ the Chicago Kid, Bilal, Illa J and J Ivy.

The last time Slum Village dropped a project, was 2013 — Evolution — a dope album indeed.

Their new album puts out the perfect vibe for a chill summer. Stream YES! on the next page, and share.
