Today is not a great day for the Major Without A Deal rapper, Troy Ave. Complex obtained the Neilsen Soundscan stats for Troy’s album, and it’s not looking too hot. According to the stats, the album apparently sold just thirty physical copies. That is basically the size of a small family –wow. Most of his sales comes from the digital copies, with a total of just 4,373 sold for the first week.

Major Without A Deal looked like it would be a hit album, with some big features from 50 Cent, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeezy, Fabolous, T.I., A$AP Ferg, Rick Ross, Cam’ron and more, but even with their support on social media, it wasn’t enough to push Troy over the 5k mark.

Seems like Troy won’t be so major to the labels now…

Update:

At 6:13PM, Troy Ave tweeted something completely different –what do you think?:

Update #2:

After becoming a social media windstorm we receive some insight on Troy Ave’s Major Without a Deal sales. Billboard reports although the album did sell 4,000 copies to end last week, the album releases was pushed up to be available as a digital-only release prior to his set at Summer Jam.

A representative for EMPIRE Recordings/Distribution, the company behind the album’s release, releases a statement regarding the album:

“Troy Ave had a big performance at NYC’s HOT 97 Summer Jam on Sunday, June 7th and wanted his fans to be able tog et the album prior to that show Thus, we released the digital version on June 5th and hen on June 9th, the physical copies were released.”

The highly discussed and joked 30 physical copies were results of street date violations.
