Chance The Rapper has a unique way of releasing music. Yesterday (May 23), the Chicago native dropped a new solo track titled “Hiatus (Broadcast),” but uploaded it to his Soundcloud under “Home Studio (Back Up In This B*tch),” an old song of Chance’s.

Yup, you read that correctly.

Despite the new song being only a little over a minute in length, the Acid Rap spitter makes the most of the teaser, skittering from a playful skat to a short set of bars that will leave you wanting more. The song finds Chance playing around on the beat before his usual introspective raps take over the groovy instrumental.

Chance The Rapper’s highly anticipated collaboration with Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment deemed SURF should be dropping very soon, but in the meantime this new track should hold us over.
