Kendrick Lamar can add another major accomplishment to his long list. On Monday, May 11th California State Senator Isadore Hall of the 35th District honored and awarded Kendrick with the 35th Generational Icon Award, a major accomplishment for the good kid from Compton. Here’s what he had to say:

“It’s definitely an honor to be right here in front of you guys,” said Kendrick. “Being from the city of Compton and knowing the parks that I played at and neighborhoods, I always thought how great the opportunity would be to give back to my community.”
