Bow Wow is peacefully parting ways with Cash Money to team up with his mentors Jermaine Dupri and Snoop Dogg. Bow Wow explained via YouTube that he has a lot of respect for Birdman and that he learned  a lot from him. Conversely, he wants to focus on releasing music to his fans.

“I just felt like I had to part ways y’all,” he expressed. “I wanna dictate when my music comes out”, he continued. In regards to his new record deal, Bow Wow mentioned that he’s excited to work with Jermaine and Snoop. “Now that I have both of them in cahoots with each other, this is only gonna make my new situation even more monumental. Now I have two iconic legends who are backing me up 1,000 percent, and that’s all I wanted”.
