It has been kind of quiet on the Tidal front. In fact, the service isn’t seeing the same level of success, as it’s opening week as it has dropped out of the top 700 apps on the iTunes store. Can competitors rejoice? Not so fast. The long rumored Jay Z and Beyoncé duet album is allegedly headed to the service.

Reported by DJ Skee, the album from the Carters is “nearing completion” and will go straight to Tidal as one of many exclusives set to attract and keep it’s customers. When discussing a time table that we can expect the album, there isn’t one. “Nearing completion” could be 95% or 50% and we don’t have any other details like a title or any tracks, but in an era of surprise releases should we really expect any clues? Check out Skee in the video above and let us know what you think of the latest development.
