One of the most mysterious rappers in the game is Roc Nation’s own Jay Electronica. We’ve been waiting for his debut album for what feels like an eternity and while we’re seemingly getting closer and closer to that happening, we’ve yet to been given an official date.

Jay Elect won’t fully shield us from his life completely, however, as the conscious rapper sat down with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, Nigeria this morning (4/22) for a rare interview. During his 20+ minute sit-down, Jay spoke on his origins and his growing up experience in New Orleans, his thoughts on Kanye, his relationship with J. Cole, Roc Nation, marriage and more. Unfortunately, Jay E was close lipped about the highly anticipated album, so it looks like we have some more waiting to do for that.

Nonetheless, this rare interview from Jay Electronica is well worth the listen above. Make him drop that album, Hov.
