Pilot Talk III has been released. This is not a drill, people. It’s been five years since we heard the second installment of Curren$y’s groundbreaking Pilot Talk album series and despite the half-a-decade wait, Spitta’s got us reminiscing on this Tuesday morning.

The 15-track project comes equipped with five features from long-time homie Wiz Khalifa, Jadakiss, Styles P, Riff Raff and J. Townsend, who all added their own unique twist. The production was very jazzy, filled with funky samples and incorporated a slew of different instruments — a very Curren$y-esque sound.

When it comes to consistency, Curren$y is the epitome of that. He knows his lane, he stays in it, and he’s been successful his entire career because of that. Experimenting with your sound is never a bad thing, but going away from what works is never smart. Spitta gets that.

With that being said, we retun today with a new edition of our First Listen series where we pick the five standout tracks from our favorite projects that really caught our ear on the ‘first listen,’ despite how difficult that task always is.
