With just a listen to Jhene Aiko’s Key Wane-produced “Eternal Sunshine,” one might be moved by the piano-driven ballad. The visual adds another layer to the calming song as we watch Jhené sing the lyrics above a car crash where she is the victim.

In 2013, the west coast songstress was involved in a car crash along wither her daughter Namiko, sister Miyoko and Namiko’s father O’Ryan. The Jay Ahn-directed video combines this story along with the passing of her brother Miyagi – who died of cancer in 2012. Flashing through images of childhood happiness and the aftermath of the crash, “Eternal Sunshine” almost has new meaning.
