August Alsina has been continuously on his grind since last year, as he’s completed a national arena tour with Usher, and is now on the road with Chris Brown in South Africa.

Despite his traveling and hectic schedule, the singer did find some time to record new music, and has just released a brand new single called “Hip-Hop.”

The song will be pretty nostalgic for all of the 80’s and 90’s hip-hop babies out there, since it samples Naughty By Nature’s classic “Hip Hop Hooray” anthem.

August gets a little dark on the track while reflecting on his tougher times from his past, but then looks forward to making some better times for himself in the future.
