Looks like Coachella and Lollapalooza attendees won’t be getting their absolute best selfies. The NME reports that both festivals have banned the popular, portable selfie sticks at their respective events.

Festivals in the U.K. have also participated in the ban in 2014. “Selfies are a big part of the gig experience,” a spokesperson for London’s Wembley SSE Arena told music-news website NME. “The sticks might mean you are refused entry to the venue so our advice is don’t bring them and stick with the tried and tested use of an arm.”

The reasoning behind the ban is pretty practical, the sticks can obstruct view of the stage for audience members behind the individual utilizing the tool. What do you think of the selfie stick ban?
