Fashawn is building his increasing buzz more and more as the months go by, and now he’s giving us a view at what he’s had to face on his journey to the top.

The Mass Appeal-signed rapper released his documentary The Ecology, which will accompany his new album of the same name. He takes us into his background while growing up in Fresno, showing some of his struggles while growing up.

Including interviews from his mother, who faced issues with drugs, his uncle, his two managers and some friends, the documentary also shows how the MC was able to get to the life of touring he has now, including landing his spot on the XXL Freshman cover back in 2010.

They also dive into what it was like for Fashawn while growing up with his father being in prison.
