Estelle cannot be boxed in. She is a singer with no loyalty to any genre – just to incredible music. The British singer-songwriter is happy to have reached her level of success and to have a fan base that supports her ever-changing sound.

“To be able to write and be able to still be alive and have people still care about what you write and what you think in this day and age for one is a dream,” she said.

Today (Feb. 17), her fourth studio album is available for the masses. With four themes woven into the project, the logical songstress stresses it was simply a coincidence that her fourth LP also boasts four themes.

“It isn’t about the four, I have no privilege to the number four,” Estelle explained. “I’m a Capricorn so I like to explain things to people and what I’ve learned is that I’ve never been in one genre – ever. Just focus on what the words are talking about and let’s classify it that way. And that’s how the four became, to find out how do we classify this album.”

With a reoccurring voice role on the animated Steven Universe and an upcoming appearance on Empire March 4th, celebrate the release of Estelle’s True Romance tackling passion, courage, love and the B.S. in the following pages. Don’t forget to get your copy today. – Alley Olivier
