Tiara Thomas’ upcoming debut album is sleek and sexy much like her style. Preferring blacks, funky jackets and plenty of leather, Tiara’s Bad Influence will have your mood set in the color scheme of purples and blue.

“It’s really vibey and it’s sexy. If my album were a color it’d be the color blue-purple,” she described her album. “It would be a leather bodysuit – black of course.”

Thumbing threw oversized T-shirts, sweaters and fur coats at Shop 3NY in SoHo, New York, the Indiana native saw fashion as a career path before settling into her true calling of music. “Growing up I was definitely into fashion,” she explains. “When I went to college, I went to Ball State [University], my major was Fashion Merchandising and then I realized that wasn’t what I wanted to do.”

The “Bad” crooner has fallen in love with her upcoming project, firing off song titles she loves including her new favorite “Mary Jane.” A fun record and more upbeat compared to others, expect the singer-songwriter to rap, sing, play the guitar and more on her project.

“I think my sound is pretty congruent to the sound that I was creating when I was in college,” she explained. “I spend a lot of time when writing that type of music to make sure it doesn’t sound like just another girl singing about something sexy.”
