Sure, Slick Rick may be 50-years-old but the veteran rapper certainly does it feel like it. In a feature for the NY Times, the legend is captured in his home accompanied by his wife Mandy Aragones. Still living in the Bronx, Slick Rick is still a captivating storyteller spinning the stories of movies he and wife watch together.

“Anything we watch, he always has another scenario,” she said. “He always finds an alternate ending.”

Still touring and composing songs, The Ruler may be living a more normal, low-key lifestyle but his age is only providing him the wisdom to keep doing more.

“I don’t feel like I’m 50,” he said. “I don’t talk like a 50-year-old person. Sometimes miserable old people depend on happy young people to give them a sense of purpose. Not me. Of course not!”
