On Saturday (Jan. 31st), Tanqueray kicked off their Tranqueray Trunk Show in New York City. A nationwide campaign that connects its patrons with today’s most influential brand architects, New Yorkers braved the frigid temperatures to learn from Maxwell Osborne, Ronnie Fieg and Jason Geter.

With Tanqueray cocktails on pour, the two-part event started with a dynamic panel discussion moderated by Coltrane Curtis. The event – starting in New York and hitting five other cities – aims to provide an opportunity for upcoming entrepreneurs to learn from established brands.

“We see this program as a riff on the traditional trunk show,” Keith Scott said, Tanqueray Senior Brand Manager. “The leaders on our panel are sharing both their in-demand physical creations, as well as their personal take on how to play and win the style game. Our goal is to inspire and equip the next generation of successful entrepreneurs, while enjoying some great cocktails and compelling music along the way.”

After learning the successes and more importantly the failures experienced by Maxwell, Ronnie and Jason, patrons were surprised with the opportunity to “shop” from the trunk show. Depending on the particular card received, patrons took home a piece from either Strivers, KITH or Black Apple.

The night ended with a post-celebration at TAO Downtown where Grammy-award winning Common performed a quick set after dropping his own motivation to everyone in the room.

“The start of anything we do has to start from a passionate place. A place of love,” he told the crowd. “I really only started because I love hip-hop.”

The Tanqueray Trunk Show will be pulling into Washington, D.C. (Feb. 7), Atlanta (Feb. 21), Chicago (March 28), Detroit (April 4) and wrap in Houston (April 11). Check out a few inspirational quotes courtesy of the panel to kickstart your next idea, brand or passion on the following page.
