It appears the saga of bad behavior is over for 20-year-old Justin Bieber. The pop star has made headlines for plenty of unsavory acts – egging his neighbor’s house, drag racing in Miami – and it seems like he’s ready to bury his old ways.

While 2014 may have been Justin’s year of rebellion, it appears he intends to turn his life around for 2015. In a grainy video, the Biebz apologizes to his fans for “pretending” to be something he is not.

“Growing up in general is hard,” he explains. “I really want people to know how much care, how much I care about people. No, I’m not that kid. What has happened in the past has happened.”
