Common and John Legend came together for one of this year’s most powerful songs to be featured in a film. “Glory” can be heard in Ava DuVernay’s Selma, which focuses on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King and his 50 mile march from Selma, AL to Montgomery, AL.

Their efforts have been appreciated by the masses, and they now have proof after winning a Golden Globe for the Best Original Song. Common and John both gave speeches showing their appreciation, while Common left an exclamation point on the moment by saying “Selma has awakened my humanity.”

To make the moment even more special, it was presented by Prince. It even got a tweet from Jay Z.
