J Dilla fans will experience warmer climates this year as the celebration for the late legendary producer in his annual Dilla Day Weekend takes Miami. The three-day event – which celebrates the life and legacy through performances, producer panels, Bar-B-Que, meet-and-greets, and other related events – will leave the producer’s hometown of Detroit to welcome fans to Miami for the weekend’s festivities.

Spearheaded by his mother, Ma Dukes, the late producer passed away February 10, 2006 after losing his battle with a rare blood disease and possibly lupus.

The tribute concert is set to have performances from Joey BadA$$, Madlib, Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, Slum Village, ESTA, Black Milk, and Camp Lo. The event will rock from February 3-5. Tickets are available on the event’s website.
