Looks like Joey Bada$$ has found a little trouble to get into while on tour Down Under. The Brooklynite has been charged with assault after allegedly breaking a security guard’s nose, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

According to the story, the rapper was reportedly stopped where the guard checked his credentials before he went on stage Friday night. Police claim Joey then punched the guard, causing facial injuries and a trip to the hospital.

After his set, he was arrested and spent the night in custody at Byron Bay police station. He is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and has since been released on bail. The situation won’t end with just a night in jail, however, as he is expected to face the courts again on March 19.

Joey Bada$$ has another week in Australia before ending his tour and celebrating the release of his debut studio album B4.DA.$$ on Jan. 20.
