Danny Brown’s Old is nearly a year-and-a-half old. Since its 2013 release, it has been semi quiet for the rapper but don’t let the silence fool you.

“I recently just bought a house,” Brown said while speaking to Australian radio during a recent tour stop. “I got a studio in my house now so I’ll just wake up, stretch, record whenever I want.”

Now with an in-home studio to use whenever he wants, the Detroit MC also revealed that he spent a week working with The Alchemist in L.A. and the material from those sessions will arrive on the new LP.

Aside from the musical gems on the horizon, the real creative pet project Brown has on the way is a children’s book. “It’s really about self-esteem in black girls,” he explained. “You know how black women do so much–process their hair, change their eye color. It’s really about a little girl who does all these things to herself and changes herself and she realizes she’s just better off the way she is.”

He further revealed that the book will be dedicated to his 13-year-old daughter and he found inspiration by famed children’s author Dr. Seuss.
