Since stuff hit the fan earlier this month resulting in the arrest of Bobby Shmurda, Rowdy Rebel and other members of their GS9 crew, the fellas have kept quiet. With a slew of charges thrown at the group including conspiracy, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and attempted murder, Rowdy Rebel – who is dutifully sitting behind bars – released his first statement.

Instead of parading his innocence and downplaying the heavy situation at hand, Rowdy spent his phone call to his girlfriend making quick shout outs. The Brooklyn rap group will face a judge at their next court date on Jan. 29, 2015. Listen to the quick call above.
