Drake isn’t remaining tightlipped on the new Toronto Raptor’s logo. Contrary to what everyone might think, the global ambassador did not have his hands in the revamp.

“Actually this redesign was executed without me. My collaboration with Mitchell & Ness comes out next season,” he tweeted in response to Cathal Kelly.

In a short video titled “This Is Our Shield,” the Raptors debuted their new look as part of their “We The North” campaign. According to owners, Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment, Drake isn’t happy about a few things. “He had pushed hard for the team to make a holistic switch to black-and-gold. Instead, the Raptors are sticking with their current palette: red-black-white-silver. Drake was part of all these discussions. He just didn’t get his way,” according to an MSLE source.

While Drizzy might have lost this battle, there will be more opportunities for his influence to be felt as a strong season for the Raptors continues to unfold. What do you think about the new logo?
