ScHoolboy Q and BJ The Chicago Kid worked so well together on ScHoolboy’s Grammy-nominated Oxymoron, single “Studio” that it made sense to reunite in the booth again. This time lending his bars to the vocalist, the TDE rapper raps on BJ’s “It’s True.”

“I was initially very nervous playing this track for Schoolboy Q,” BJ told The FADER in an email. “It is a PSA. Its mission is to let people know that you do not have to be involved in gang-like activity to be affected by it, to be hurt or killed by it. This life is real and can hurt the most innocent of people.”
