Fabolous Talks Branding And 90’s Inspiration On ‘The Young OG Project’ With ‘The Breakfast Club’
by Staff Editor
Fabolous brings seasons greetings to The Breakfast Club in the form of a card reminding them to download his upcoming The Young OG Project. Officially a member of Roc Nation’s roster, the move finally fit the time for where Fab intends to bring his career.
“They have always been family and they built a report in the game as far as working with the top artists and pushing brands with those artists and that’s what I thought Roc Nation could help me with is building my brand,” Fab said.
Known for gifting a mixtape around the holidays, the Brooklyn native decided to go the album route after bits of 90’s inspiration turned into its own project that seemed bigger than a tape.
“I usually let a project go and people expect it like I’m a bad guy if I don’t give them something for the holidays or Christmas,” he said. “I was working on the album and These flips started coming that were 90’s influenced or inspired or a complete flip of a 90’s joint. There were so many of them that it became almost a little project so that’s where The Young OG Project came from.”
