The world is biting their nails in anticipation for Nicki Minaj’s upcoming The Pinkprint. Making her media rounds before the anticipated LP makes its arrival, Nicki hopped on a call with DJ Whoo Kidd to talk the industry, her album and the perceived tensions brewing within YMCMB.

“I think we’re giving a lot of people a lot of passes for not being lyrical and not being nice,” she said. “So I have to put out The Pinkprint. I have to do it. I have to be the one to do it because you can’t wait for nobody else to do it. Pop culture follows what we do and if we ok they ok the bullshit and they take it to another level. So I have to show hip-hop fans that I’m honored to be just an MC at the end of the day.”

The rapstress doesn’t shy away from the questions regarding her YMCMB family of which she views the media setting their sites on one of the most powerful crews in hip-hop. “When you’re at the top, there’s only one place to aim at,” she said. “Love conquers all. I do know that, no matter what, we’re a family. We’re not always the bestest friends, but we love each other underneath it all. I know Wayne and Baby love each other. And I know they’re going to resolve anything that needs to be resolved.”
